On 19 August 2024, LNTH, in collaboration with the Youth Union of Phin Ngan Commune, teachers, and parents, came together to renovate and clean Trung Chai Kindergarten in Phin Ngan Commune, Bat Xat District. This initiative was carried out to prepare the school for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year. Trung Chai Kindergarten, a remote school serving a small population of minority ethnic children, had been facing challenges due to its deteriorating facilities.

Our team of 20 dedicated volunteers contributed 122 hours to this CSR project. They assisted in renovating the school’s facilities by cleaning the schoolyard, repairing and replacing electrical devices such as light bulbs, ceiling fans, and electrical wiring. These efforts aimed to create a safer and more conducive learning environment for the 32 students and teachers at the school.

Following the event, the school management expressed their gratitude for our support and the positive impact it had on the school's environment. They also look forward to continued collaboration with LNTH in future initiatives.

On 6 July 2024, Leader Energy in collaboration with the Global Environment Centre (GEC), launched a Five-Year Mangrove Conservation and Climate Action for Sustainable Living Programme in the Merbok Forest Reserve, Kedah, Malaysia, with the support of the Kedah State Forestry Department and Sungai Muda River Basin Management (PLSM). The programme supported by a RM 1.9 million grant aims to:

• Restore and sustainably manage 10 hectares of degraded mangrove areas.

• Plant 18,000 mangrove trees over five years.

• Engage local communities and volunteers in conservation activities.

• Enhance carbon sequestration and coastal resilience.

The programme was inaugurated by planting 1,000 Rhizophora apiculata (Bakau minyak) mangroves by a total of 75 participants and volunteers from Leader Energy, GEC, related agencies, and the local community; marking the International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem 2024.

This symbolic planting marks the beginning of a comprehensive rehabilitation and conservation effort that will unfold over the next five years.

By working hand-in-hand with GEC, the community and various key stakeholders, Leader Energy aims to restore the mangroves, enhance carbon sequestration, and contribute to sustainable community livelihood for a more resilient and sustainable net zero future for all.

On 5 July 2024, PT Alfa Solusi organized a successful blood donation drive in collaboration with PMI Kota Bekasi. The event commenced with a welcome speech from Bu Wieke, setting a positive tone for the afternoon. After registration and health screenings, employees were able to donate a total of six blood bags, contributing to the local blood bank and supporting healthcare in the community.

The drive was not only a meaningful way to give back but also an opportunity to foster team spirit and collective responsibility among participants. The event wrapped up with snacks provided as a token of appreciation for the volunteers' contributions.

This initiative underscores PT Alfa Solusi's ongoing commitment to supporting community health and well-being.

On 5 July 2024, LYS Singapore hosted a group of 27 students from Dunman High School for an educational visit to the Singapore National Stadium, a premier example of sustainable infrastructure in Singapore. This event was made possible through close collaboration between the Singapore Sports Hub's internal team and LYS Singapore.

The visit provided the students with a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience of a Solar PV system installation and an in-depth understanding of solar energy applications in Singapore. During the tour, the students closely examined one of the solar arrays at the National Stadium, deepening their understanding of how it functions and contributes to the stadium's sustainability goals.

Following the tour, the students participated in a 1.5-hour sharing session and Q&A, where they explored various topics related to solar energy in greater detail. This interactive session allowed them to engage with experts and broaden their knowledge of renewable energy technologies.

The visit was a resounding success, leaving the students inspired and more informed about the role of solar energy in building a sustainable future.

In conjunction with the World Environment Month 2024 celebration, Leader Energy has collaborated with MY Clean Beach for a beach cleaning initiative at Pantai Kelanang, Morib on 28 June 2024. Fulfilling one of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategic themes of “Environmental Conservation & Climate Action”, 42 employees of Leader Energy in Malaysia participated in this volunteer beach cleaning activity.

We managed to collect a total of 98.7kg of waste. Our collective effort helped to remove waste that would otherwise impact the sea's biodiversity. The waste collected was sent to recycling facilities and waste-to-energy facilities, ensuring no waste is landfilled. This activity also aligned with the UN SDG 14 for Life Below Water.

A big thank you to everyone who participated in this event. Together, we can contribute to a cleaner and greener planet.

On 21 June 2024, LYS Energy Singapore joined forces with 30 volunteers from Singapore’s power industry to participate in the National Electricity Market of Singapore (NEMS) Charity Outing. The event provided a wonderful opportunity to bring joy to children from Child at Street 11 Ltd, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable children in Ang Mo Kio.

The outing took place at River Wonders, where the children were delighted by the chance to meet the beloved pandas, Kai Kai and Jia Jia, and to experience the enchanting "Once Upon A River" show. The day was filled with smiles, laughter, and unforgettable memories for both the children and the volunteers.

Since 2006, NEMS participants have united annually to support this cause, and we are honored to continue this meaningful tradition. Child at Street 11 plays a crucial role in nurturing children aged 2 months to 12 years, helping them develop essential life skills through hands-on learning experiences.LYS Energy Singapore remains committed to making a positive impact on the community. On 13 June 2024, CEL and CEL II organized an environmental awareness activity, which included a community cleanup and fabric recycling efforts in a village near the plant.

The aim was to raise villagers' awareness of waste management and its impact on the environment, helping to create and maintain an aesthetically pleasing and healthy environment.

On 8 June 2024, VH6 employees came together for a meaningful tree planting initiative at the company’s substations and switching station. Demonstrating their commitment to environmental stewardship, 14 employees collectively dedicated 56 hours to planting 28 diverse trees, including mango, guava, coconut, jackfruit, adenium, and water jasmine.

This initiative is a testament to VH6’s dedication to Environmental Conservation & Climate Action, one of Leader Energy’s CSR strategy. By enriching the local environment with a variety of trees, VH6 is playing a vital role in enhancing biodiversity and reinforcing our commitment to creating a sustainable future.

In celebration of World Environment Day on 5 June 2024, CEL and CEL II organized a series of activities focused on regreening the ash yard. The day began with a speech recording by EDC & Co-GCEO and a sharing session on sustainable living. Following this, 50 trees were planted, including 35 banana trees and 15 coconut trees. Additionally, grass was planted, and aquatic plants were added to the ash pond.

These activities aimed to restore the ash yard into a healthy ecological area, enhancing its environmental sustainability and contributing to soil fertility.

On 28-29 May 2024, CEL and CEL II organized a team to repair the playground at Keo Phos Primary School. Several playground items were found to be defective, posing potential risks to children while playing.

The purpose of this initiative was to ensure that the children can safely access the playground equipment to play, learn, and have fun in a secure environment.

On 24 May 2024, LNTH organized an engaging event for students at Phin Ngan Primary School, which included interactive games, singing, dancing, and English language activities. The students, especially those from mountainous areas with limited opportunities to practice English, were excited and motivated by the activities. The team focused on teaching body parts vocabulary through the song "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes," making learning both fun and memorable.

In addition to this event, on 28 May 2024, LNTH donated 50 helmets to the students at Phin Ngan Primary School. This initiative aims to protect children in case of traffic accidents and raise awareness about the importance of wearing helmets.

The principal of Phin Ngan Primary School expressed gratitude for LNTH’s support and hopes for continued collaboration in the future. LNTH was also honored to receive a certificate from the Lao Cai People’s Committee on 28 May 2024, recognizing their contribution to activities for children in Lao Cai province.

On 8 May 2024, CEL and CEL II made a valuable contribution to Steung Hav High School by donating 19 drums of paint and painting the wall of four classrooms. The project was successfully completed in June 2024.

This project aimed to create a more vibrant and engaging learning environment. By improving the school’s physical appearance, CEL and CEL II hope to foster active involvement of students in their learning process and promote more conducive atmosphere for learning.

Staff members from T-Line, GSKC, GS6, and the PP office came together for a Cleanliness Drive near the sites at Grid Substation No.6 in Kampong Speu Province. Their goal was to contribute to the community by cleaning up the area.

Working as a team, they collected 82 kilograms of garbage and significantly improved the appearance of the space. By the end of the day, the area looked much better, and the local residents were pleased to see their surroundings clean.

This Cleanliness Drive highlights the impact of collective effort in making a positive difference. It’s a simple yet effective way to support the community and keep the environment cleaner year after year.

On 30 April 2024, CEL & CEL II held their fifth blood donation activity to support the Sihanouk Provincial Referral Hospital. A total of 18 employees volunteered, contributing 27 hours of their time to collect eight units of blood.

This effort is crucial in providing the hospital with the necessary blood supply for emergencies, particularly for severely anemic patients requiring immediate blood transfusions. The donated blood will help save lives in critical situations.

The hospital’s doctor expressed his gratitude to the company for their humanitarian gesture, emphasizing how many patients in critical need of blood will benefit from this donation.

On 26 April 2024, CEL & CELII kick-started their Earth Day activities by organizing a village cleanup and fabric recycling initiative for the local villagers living near the plant. A total of 25 employees volunteered 37.5 hours to assist in these efforts, collecting 58 kg of waste and benefiting approximately 300 people.

This initiative aimed to encourage the villagers to participate in environmental conservation, promote sustainability, and reduce plastic consumption. By engaging the local community in these activities, CEL & CELII helped foster awareness about the importance of biodiversity and highlighted the impact of collective action on environmental protection.

In a heartfelt effort to combat food insecurity, our Sunway Office has committed to support underprivileged families through the Bakul Makanan initiative. In collaboration with Persatuan Kebajikan Bank Makanan 448, this program provides underprivileged families with essential food supplies to help ease their burdens.

Each Bakul Makanan run is not about delivering food but also about connecting with the community. Our employees eagerly volunteer their time to ensure that every delivery is made with care and compassion. Through this initiative, we hope to create a ripple effect of kindness and generosity within the community, strengthening our bonds with one another and demonstrating the impact of collective effort. The Sunway team is proud to uphold our commitment to this cause, fostering a brighter future for many families each month.

On 25 March 2024, CEL & CEL II held a Hygiene and Cleanliness Awareness program at Keo Phos Primary School. Fifteen employee volunteers contributed a total of 67.5 hours to this initiative, which benefitted 196 students.

This awareness program aimed to improve students' understanding of cleanliness and hygiene, encourage healthy habits, and support their educational journey. Along with teaching about hygiene, the initiative included housekeeping and the distribution of school materials to help further support the students' learning environment.

The principal of Keo Phos Primary School expressed his gratitude to CEL & CEL II for dedicating their time and effort to this valuable cause.

On 3 March 2024, CEL & CELII brought employees and community members together for a memorable cycling initiative. With 10 volunteers, including company employees, the 30-kilometer ride took approximately 2.5 hours, starting from the company parking lot and culminating at Otres Beach before returning.

This initiative involved 25 volunteer hours, underscored the importance of fostering a balance between work and life. The program aimed to improve relationships between the company and the community, encourage team spirit, and promote physical health and happiness for all participants.

CEL & CELII are proud to have organized this ride as a way to support not only the physical well-being of our participants but also to build stronger, more connected communities.

Our LYS Singapore team proudly joined PassionWave’s Kayak “N” Klean program on 1 March 2024, as part of our commitment to the Healthy Heart at Work initiative. This enriching CSR activity didn't just promote cardiovascular wellness; it also championed environmental conservation by tidying up Marina Reservoir's coastline.

Before embarking on our kayak clean-up expedition, our dedicated trainers shed light on the global pollution crisis, emphasizing the urgent need for marine life and nature conservation. Their insights served as a powerful reminder of our duty to protect our planet for future generations.

Throughout three fulfilling hours, we not only collected 9.3 kg of litters but also reconnected with nature, reaffirming our pledge to environmental sustainability while staying active. Let's continue prioritizing our health and the well-being of our planet, taking significant strides towards a cleaner, brighter future for all!

In order to welcome the New Year, wish for a good harvest, and uphold the cultural traditions of local ethnic groups, the Phin Ngan People’s Committee (PC) annually organizes the Put Tong Festival. Held on the 15th day of the first lunar month, this festival is unique and important to the Phin Ngan community, involving the participation of the entire commune.

To contribute to preserving traditional values and support the local socio-economic and tourism development, LNTH donated VND 10 million (~USD 417) to the Phin Ngan PC for the Put Tong Festival on February 21, 2024. The donation also allows our employees living in the area to join the festivities.

The festival was successfully organized on February 24, 2024, featuring a range of activities including art performances, culinary displays, sports, folk games, and other distinctive cultural events. The Phin Ngan PC extends its gratitude to Leader Energy and LNTH for their continued support and hopes for future collaboration.

On 22 February 2024, CEL & CELII joined forces to uphold the spirit of Gotong Royong, demonstrating their dedication to environmental stewardship and community service. During this collaborative clean-up event, our employees clocked 51 volunteer hours, joining local communities to collect 156 kilograms of waste. This impactful initiative showcased our shared commitment to maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

This initiative reflects CEL & CELII's belief in the importance of collective action and community engagement. The effort not only improved the local environment but also strengthened the bond between our organization and the communities we serve.

CEL & CELII proudly contributed 28,000 seeds to the Kbal Chhay Nursery on 22 February 2024. Our dedicated employees volunteered 51 hours to plant a variety of seeds including Thong/Padauk, Neang Noun/CamLai, and Kranhuang/Tulipwood, marking a significant step towards increasing the area's green cover.

This initiative is part of our practical approach to environmental responsibility. By planting these seeds, we aim to support the ecosystem's natural development and provide a healthier environment for the local community.

As the Tet Holiday approaches, the spirit of giving and compassion finds a special place at Vinh Hao 6 Solar Power Plant (VH6). In a heartfelt initiative to support families in need, we have partnered with the Department of Labour, War Invalids, and Social Affairs to distribute essential food packages to underprivileged families in Vinh Tan Commune, Tuy Phong District, Binh Thuan Province.

This year, VH6 are proud to have donated 10 food packages containing rice, cooking oil, fish sauce, and cookies. These items, staple in every festive celebration, were chosen to bring joy and sustenance to families during Vietnam’s most cherished holiday. The initiative aims not only to provide immediate relief but also to celebrate the warmth and unity that Tet symbolizes.

On 19 January 2024, Cambodian Energy Limited (CEL) proudly awarded a scholarship to a deserving student from Steung Hav High School. This scholarship supports two years of study in Electrical Engineering at Don Bosco Technical Training School, reflecting our commitment to aiding students who face barriers to further education.

This initiative is part of our broader efforts to empower young minds and contribute to their futures and the broader community. Through such scholarships Leader Energy continue to support educational advancements and nurture the next generation of innovators and leaders.

On 18 November 2023, Leader Energy successfully initiated a tree planting programme in Vietnam as part of our commitment to achieving the group's goal of planting 1,000 trees. Our LYS Energy Vietnam team, in collaboration with Dow Vietnam, spearheaded the planting of 400 coconut trees in Long An province. This programme is designed to enhance green spaces and is projected to sequester about 334.4 tCO2e annually. The team also received a certificate of appreciation.

While we have already reached our target for the number of trees planted, our dedication to combating climate change and promoting community engagement remains steadfast. We will continue in our tree planting efforts to contribute positively to the environment.

Leader Energy continues to plant an additional 410 trees in Cambodia as part of its environmental initiative. Spearheaded by our CEL and CEL II teams on 22 November 2023, the tree planting program successfully brought together about 233 participants, including local authorities and students, collaborating with our staff to demonstrate love for both Mother Nature and the community. This effort is anticipated to sequester approximately 57 tonnes of CO2 annually, setting the foundation for a greener future and sparking ongoing initiatives in environmental stewardship. As of now, we have planted a total of 1410 trees in 2023, and our commitment to this cause remains unwavering—we will continue to plant more trees beyond this milestone.

On 9th September 2023, LYS Energy (Vietnam), in collaboration with A.P. Moller - Maersk, an integrated container logistics company, along with Crocs Vietnam, Công ty Cổ phần chăn nuôi C.P. Việt Nam - CP Vietnam Corporation, Avery Dennison, and RMIT University Vietnam, successfully launched the solar-powered Container Library. This project was centered around the repurposing of Maersk's 40-foot container, serving as a meaningful example of a circular economy initiative.
 
Located in Nhon Hoa Lap ward, Tan Thanh District, Long An, Vietnam, the Container Library was purposefully created to benefit the students of Nhon Hoa Lap Primary & Secondary School in Hamlet 5.
 
LYS Energy (Vietnam) made a substantial contribution by installing a 3kWp rooftop solar power system for the Container Library, complete with four PV modules. Our team played an integral role in the construction, installation, and design of the rooftop solar power system, collaborating closely with subcontractors and providing professional consultancy. Additionally, the team ensures the system's smooth operation through an annual O&M service. 
 
By adopting solar energy to power the Container Library, this initiative results in an estimated reduction of 2.8 tons of carbon dioxide*. (*Based on a grid emission factor of metric tons of CO2 / MWh = 0.7221, the latest figure available from the VN Department of Climate Change in 2021.)
 
Embracing renewable energy is the path to a sustainable future. This collaboration opportunity also empowers us to contribute to the broader goal of ensuring knowledge and learning are accessible to all children. This CSR project exemplifies the meaningful impact of sustainability efforts in supporting education for communities with renewable energy (UNSDG 4 – Quality Education and UNSDG 13 Climate Action)

On 23 September 2023, Leader Energy has successfully planted 400 mangrove units along Sungai Acheh in Nibong Tebal, potentially sequestering 32,400 kg of carbon dioxide. In our pursuit of planting 1,000 trees in the year 2023, Leader Energy initiated its inaugural tree planting initiative for the Group in September 2023. We successfully planted 200 trees within the beautiful surroundings of Kuala Selangor Nature Park, known as Taman Alam Kuala Selangor. This program was carried out in partnership with the Malaysian Nature Society and contributed to the potential sequestration of a total of 4,200 kg of carbon dioxide. This endeavor is an integral component of Leader Energy's CSR program focused on Environmental Conservation and Climate Action, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal 15, Life on Land.

On 05th September, our team from Leader Nam Tien Hydropower Joint Stock Company (“LNTH”) was delighted to give 60 pieces of rain coats for students of Phin Ngan secondary school, Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province on the occasion of the opening ceremony of the school year 2023-2024 with the support of Children’s Fund of Lao Cai province.

We found that most of students in the school are living in mountainous area, traveling to school is still difficult, especially in rainy days and the winter is coming. We believe that these rain coats are special gifts for students and help them avoid wet as well as keep warm so that they can go to school with peace of mind. On behalf of the school, the principal also would like to sincerely thank to LNTH and Leader Energy Group for supporting them during past time and spending meaningful gifts to students of the school.

We hope that in the future LNTH shall have more meaning activities as well as CSR projects for students and for community.

Techo Hun Sen Boeung Kok High School in Kampong Cham Province welcomed a significant upgrade with the installation of 8 solar pole lamps. This thoughtful contribution provides more than illumination; it represents a commitment to sustainability and community well-being.

The new solar lamps enhance safety by improving visibility in the evening and symbolize the embrace of renewable energy. They also offer a daily reminder to the 1047 students, teachers, and staff of the importance of environmental care.

This simple yet impactful project not only adds to the school's facilities but also infuses a sense of responsibility towards the environment within the school community. It's a shining example of how thoughtful actions can create meaningful change, lighting the path for future generations.

CELP made a significant contribution to Tumnop Rolork Primary School in the Steng Hav District, donating six tons of cement to be used for improving the school's facilities. This in-kind donation underscored CELP's commitment to supporting education within the community.

The School Principal emphasized how the donation would enable vital improvements to the school's infrastructure, enhancing the learning environment for the 900 students who come from surrounding villages to study there.

This initiative is a part of CELP's ongoing efforts to engage with and support the local community. We recognize the role that businesses can play in fostering growth and development, and we are proud to be a part of the positive change in Steng Hav District.

A team of 32 staff members from T-Line, O&M GS6, and PP office joined together for a Cleanliness Drive near CTL sites at Grid Substation 6 (GS6). They wanted to help their community by cleaning up the area.

Working together, they picked up trash and cleaned up the space. By the end of the day, they had collected 228 kilograms of garbage. The area looked much better, and the people who lived nearby were happy to see it clean.

The Cleanliness Drive at GS6 shows how a group of people working together can make a big difference. It's a simple way to help the community and keep the environment clean. The team's hard work is a reminder that everyone can do something to make their neighborhood a better place.

In line with our commitment to environmental conservation, CEL and CEL II hosted a Gotong Royong event across five locations within the premises. This collaborative community effort focused on enhancing environmental awareness among our employees.

Together, we collected approximately 330 kilograms of general waste, ensuring the cleanliness of the surrounding areas. But we did not stop there; the initiative also included planting 20 trees in the designated areas.

The Gotong Royong event was not merely a cleaning drive; it was an educational experience that allowed our employees to connect with the environment and understand the importance of maintaining a clean workplace. It fostered a sense of responsibility and unity among the employees, aligning everyone with our broader mission of environmental consciousness.

The Singapore LYS team organised a Blood Donation Drive at Bloodbank @HSA for June's World Blood Donor Day, where we aimed to raise awareness about the critical importance of regular blood and plasma donations. Six volunteers participated in the Blood Donation Drive.

During the event, the friendly Bloodbank staffs ensured a smooth and comfortable donation process. Notably, among our volunteer group, we were inspired by three individuals who had already been regular donors in the past years. Their commitment to giving back to the community is truly commendable and sets an excellent example for others to follow.

In Singapore, an average of 400 units of blood is needed daily to meet the demand of patients. By organizing such group blood donation drives, we hope to encourage more individuals in good health to become new donors and contribute regularly to the blood bank. Together, we can make a significant impact and save countless lives!

In a heartwarming act of community involvement, staff members from CELP volunteered to paint classrooms and repair the roof at Kompenh Primary School, located in the Steng Hav District of Sihanouk Ville Province.

This selfless effort went beyond mere aesthetics and structural improvement; it was a gesture of commitment to enhancing the learning environment for the children of the surrounding villages. The refurbished classrooms and roof will provide a more comfortable and conducive space for the 190 students who attend the school.

The School Principal expressed his profound gratitude to CELP for this generous support. His thanks underscored the positive impact that such volunteer work can have on a community, especially in supporting educational pursuits.

The CSR team and management at CEL and CEL II took a significant step in providing aid to those affected by severe weather conditions in Choeung Ko Commune, Prey Nop District, Sihanouk Ville Province. They generously donated 150 pieces of zinc roofing to support 400 victims whose homes were damaged by strong winds.

This thoughtful contribution aims to offer immediate relief and assist in the rebuilding efforts of the affected community. The Environment Officer, along with the Commune Chief, expressed their sincere gratitude to the company for this contribution. Their appreciation underscores the importance of corporate involvement in community support and recovery.

On April 21, 2023, LYS Energy Vietnam joined forces with CP Vietnam Corporation for a meaningful CSR initiative in the Bien Hoa II industrial zone, located in Dong Nai, Vietnam - a site where one of our Solar PV Projects is situated. In just 2 hours, we collected 10 kilograms of waste, including electrical cables, plastics, plastic bags, bottles, and clothes, contributing to a total of 100 kilograms.

Our shared commitment to environmental protection and sustainable practices drove this effort. Each employee's participation made a tangible contribution to our company's sustainable development journey. Together, we inspire change, raise awareness, and encourage waste reduction, recycling, and reuse.

From April 14th to 16th, 2023, as Cambodia celebrated the Khmer New Year, the management teams at CEL and CEL II made a thoughtful gesture to honor the dedication of their employees. Recognizing that some of their employees would be working during these special days, management provided a variety of food and beverages to ensure they could enjoy a festive atmosphere even while at work.

Such moments of consideration and celebration serve to strengthen the bond between employees and management, reinforcing a positive and supportive work environment. It's another way that CEL and CEL II demonstrate their commitment not only to excellence in business but also to the people who make it all possible.

Yesterday was World Water Day and we celebrated this significant day by taking action and raise awareness on the importance of protecting our oceans and waterways. On 21 March 2023, we collected a total of 68kg of waste during our beach clean up activity at Pasir Ris Park in Singapore.

To minimise wastage, we borrowed cleaning tools from CleanPod, an initiative started by the Public Hygiene Council in 2019 that allows public to borrow litter picking tools and equipment to conduct clean-up activities at beaches and parks. This helped us to conduct a more efficient and sustainable clean-up activity.

We're proud to have contributed to the protection of our oceans and beaches, and we encourage everyone to take small steps to protect our planet, whether it's by reducing nonbiodegradable waste or participating in local clean-up activities. Together, we can improve our habits in daily urban living towards sustainable practices and make a positive impact on our world!

Fifty of our team members from CEL and CEL II took part in a beach cleaning initiative. They devoted their time and effort to clean the beach located along the seashore behind the premise. This event was an embodiment of our commitment to preserving the environment and maintaining the beauty of our community spaces.

Throughout the day, our team members meticulously cleared the beach of litter, focusing particularly on plastic waste, which poses a significant threat to marine life and the broader ecosystem. Their effort resulted in the collection of approximately 2,000 kilograms of waste.

In doing this initiative, we understand that our responsibilities extend beyond our business operations. We are dedicated to environmental stewardship and are proud to take proactive measures to protect and preserve our natural surroundings.

The management teams at CEL and CEL II recently had the honor of awarding scholarships to two deserving students from Steng Hav High School. These scholarships were granted to Chan Kimhieng, who aspires to become a secretary, and Heng Sovannreach, who aims to pursue electrical engineering. Both students come from families that otherwise would not have the means to continue their education.

This opportunity enables these promising students to undertake two years of technical education at the prestigious Don Bosco Technical School. The scholarships were granted with the intention of providing them the chance to cultivate their skills and knowledge in their chosen fields.

We strongly believe in empowering the youth by providing opportunities for quality education. We are proud to support their journey and look forward to their future contributions to society.

A qualified underprivileged student from Hun Sen Pdao Chum High School in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia, received a spectacular scholarship award on January 16, 2023. Thanks to the kind support and contribution from Cambodian Transmission Limited (CTL), the student was given the chance to pursue a four-year course in Electrical Engineering at the esteemed National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia (NPIC).

This scholarship award is a key step towards providing Cambodian students from low-income families access to higher education. The scholarship pays for academic costs, accommodation, a meal allowance, a transportation allowance, and the expense of electricity and water per year, for a total of USD 1190. By providing financial assistance, the student and their family will have less burden and more time to devote to their education and future.

The National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia is a leading institution in the country for technical education, and an Electrical Engineering degree from this institution will provide the student with a competitive edge in the job market. This scholarship award will not only benefit the student but also their community, as they will be able to contribute their knowledge and skills to the development of the country's infrastructure.

Demonstrating a strong sense of community, 28 staff members from CEL and CEL II participated in a blood donation drive at Sihanouk Ville Hospital. They willingly stepped forward to donate blood, emphasizing CEL's dedication to the health and well-being of the community.

Blood donation is a vital act that can directly save lives. The involvement of our staff in this event is a clear testament to their dedication to this cause, and it reflects our broader commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility.

This blood donation event is just one example of how CEL and CEL II staff contribute to the community. We are proud of their efforts and remain committed to fostering a culture that values and encourages such generous acts.

Our teams at CEL and CELII donated essential school supplies to Steng Hav High School in Sihanouk Province. The contribution included 424 correction books, a table, six chairs, and a bookshelf.

The school's principal was present at this special event and expressed his deep gratitude for the support provided by CEL and CEL II. Known for their commitment to community service and education, the teams take pride in making a positive impact. They are enthusiastic about continuing to support the community in the future.

On November 30th, 2022, Hun Sen Pdao Chum High School in Kampong Cham Province's library was officially handed over to the school administration, led by the GCOO, Ronnie Khoo after months of preparation and contributions by Cambodian Transmission Limited (CTL).

Hun Sen Pdao Chum High School is located at Pdao Chum Lich Village, Pdao Chum Commune, Cheung Prey District, and is home to 953 students, including 504 females, studying from Grade 7 to Grade 12. The lack of resources and infrastructure, especially in rural areas, is a significant challenge for students to access quality education. Therefore, the establishment of a well-equipped library in this school is a significant milestone towards addressing this challenge.

CTL, as part of its CSR initiatives, donated 1404 books, two bookshelves, two book racks, a smart TV with two USB ports, a globe, a clock, and a company signboard to the school's library. Additionally, CTL staff contributed to the setup of the library by installing the bookshelves, book racks, posters, smart TV, and Company Signboard, and preparing the books.

The newly established library is an essential resource for students to access information, broaden their knowledge, and enhance their learning experience. The library setup includes various genres of books, ranging from academic subjects to general knowledge and fiction. The smart TV with USB ports allows students to watch educational videos, and the globe and clock provide a visual representation of the world and time zones, respectively.

The handover ceremony was attended by school administrators, teachers, and students, who expressed their gratitude to CTL for their support in establishing the library. The students were excited to explore the new library, and the school administration expressed their commitment to maintaining and utilizing the library to benefit all students.

Our team at Leader Nam Tien Hydropower Joint Stock Company was thrilled to provide 50 thermos lunchboxes to 50 students at Phin Ngan secondary School in Phin Ngan commune, Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province on November 21st, 2022. We are confident that these lunchboxes will make it easier for students to bring their food to school and keep it warm and tasty, particularly as the winter season approaches.

We understand the challenges that students face in carrying their food to school, and we hope that our small contribution will alleviate some of these challenges. By providing these thermos lunchboxes, we hope to help the students enjoy their meals more comfortably, and this, in turn, will enhance their academic performance.

On November 18, 2022, Cambodia Transmission Limited organized their 2nd Blood Donation Campaign at Kampong Cham Hospital with the aim of promoting the importance of blood donation and raising awareness about its life-saving benefits. The event saw the participation of 19 individuals, who were all eager to make a difference. The group consisted of 2 females and 17 males who were given a guided tour of the hospital's laboratory by a doctor before the blood donation process began. The event was a success, with the hospital staff providing excellent service and making sure that the participants were comfortable throughout the process. The act of blood donation is essential as it can save lives and make a significant impact on society. The company plans to continue organizing such campaigns in the future and encourage others to do the same.

Since August 2021, in collaboration with House of Love, Happy n Green Club and Leader Energy had donated a total of 150 boxes of in-kind food to needy families in Klang, Subang, Puchong and Old Klang Road in Malaysia. Each box included essential food items such as rice, flour, cooking oil, sauces, noodles, salt, sugar, canned sardines, biscuits and coffee. The company will continue to help as many needy families as possible and bring smiles to their faces through these boxes of love.

On 31 October 2022, our Cambodian Transmission Limited (CTL) team organized the cleanliness drive “Please keep your Environment Clean for your Future Generations” nearby Kampong Cham 115/22kV substation (GSKC) with the. This is their 2nd year organizing the cleanliness drive as the company strongly believes that it is important to maintain a cleaner environment for the current and next generation’s social health.

On 28 October 2022, for LYS Impact Day, our Group CEO Mr Gan Boon Hean and LYS Energy Singapore team participated in the Kayak "N" Klean programme, one of PAssionWave’s signature activities that combines water sports with environmental conservation through picking up litter along the coastline of Marina Reservoir on kayaks in pairs. Prior to launching the kayaks, the trainers shared knowledge on current global pollution situation to raise our awareness and understanding in the importance of marine life and nature conservation and the negative impact on the environment and our future generations. Throughout the 3 hours programme, the team reconnected to nature and gained a better sense of ownership towards environmental sustainability, and did some physical workouts through paddling and lifting kayaks. Even though Singapore is considered as one of the cleanest and greenest cities globally, the team were disheartened to find the amount of non-biodegradable trash being trapped along the coastline. Within just 1.5hour on the water, 23kg of trash was collected from Marina Reservoir coastline.

The Rooftop Solar PV System for the orphanage was successfully launched on 01 October 2022. The rooftop solar was co-sponsored by Leader Energy and ERS Energy to help reduce the electricity costs of the orphanage. Home to 34 children aged 8 - 19 years (all boys), Pertubuhan Rumah Anak Yatim Kuala Muda provides safe accommodations. Leading up to this event, Leader Energy also sponsored a ping pong table and upgraded the football facilities with proper netting, lining and footballs to the orphanage. That morning, the children were playing the telematch games organised by the staff from Leader Energy and HNG Capital before the launching ceremony began. The laughter and joy filled the air. ​​​​​​​After the telematch games, Mr Gan Boon Hean, Group CEO of Leader Energy was invited to officiate the launching ceremony of the rooftop solar PV system for the orphanage. Pn Zaharah Mohamed Khir, the dean of the orphanage expressed gratitude to Leader Energy and ERS Energy for their generous sponsorship during her speech. There was a prize-giving presentation to the children for the telematch games. The children then gathered on the stage and sang the song "Saya Anak Malaysia" (I am a Malaysian) at the end of the ceremony followed by a scrumptious lunch. In line with Leader Energy's green energy movement for a sustainable future and environment, the sponsorship of the rooftop solar PV system has helped the orphanage to save approximately RM523 in the month of August 2022 while it was still under the test run. The money saved can be put towards the expenses of the orphanage such as health costs, living expenses, school supplies, education and more. This initiative is also to show the children in Pertubuhan Rumah Anak Yatim Kuala Muda that they are loved and not forgotten. On 15 September 2022, Cambodian Energy Limited (CEL) management team and the district governor organized a CSR program to educate the fishing community about lifesaving techniques and sponsor them with life vests. This program was also a collaboration with the Steung Hav Administrative team at Steung Hav District Hall. During the event, the internal HSE officer shared with the fishing community the importance of lifesaving and life vest usage. As part of the company's ESG activities in the Social aspect, this contribution seeks to improve the knowledge and safety of the fishing community.

On 15 September 2022, Cambodian Energy Limited (CEL) management team and the district governor organized a CSR program to educate the fishing community about lifesaving techniques and sponsor them with life vests. This program was also a collaboration with the Steung Hav Administrative team at Steung Hav District Hall. During the event, the internal HSE officer shared with the fishing community the importance of lifesaving and life vest usage. As part of the company's ESG activities in the Social aspect, this contribution seeks to improve the knowledge and safety of the fishing community.

In the month of September 2022, our Cambodian Transmission Limited (CTL) team continued its green initiative "CLEAN & GREEN is our PERFECT DREAM" through both tree and flower planting activities. Jointly with the teachers and students of Hun Sen Pdau Chum High School, located in dau Chum Lich Village nearby Transmission Lines Towers T156 & T157 within Kampong Cham Province, the Cambodian Transmission Limited (CTL) team planted 60 sunflowers within the school compound on 5th September 2022. The participants were delighted to contribute to beautifying the school compound and enjoyed themselves during the activity. Besides, 62 fruit trees were planted at Grid Substation No. 6 (GS6) which is located in Kampong Speu Province on 9 September 2022. The variety of trees that were planted are 15 mango trees, 13 guava trees, 5 coconut trees, 15 banana trees and 14 papaya trees. The team is very passionate about this tree planting activity and this was their third consecutive year organising the tree planting activity. To date, a total of 182 fruit trees were planted.

On 8 August 2022, the electrical and electronic engineering students from Norton University travelled from Phnom Penh to visit our Cambodia Energy Limited (CEL) site to gain some knowledge about coal power plant and had hands on experiences guided by our staff during the induction program. These onsite experiences would be useful for their technical studies and career advancement. H.E Chan Mithona, Electrical and Electronic Department Director of Norton University, thanked CEL management and staff for the warm welcome and well-planned induction program conducted for the students.

On 15 July 2022, our Cambodian Transmission Limited (CTL) team gladly handed over their undertaking refurbishment project of Maternity building of Tumnup Thom Health Centre. The maternity building is located in Spean Tomloap Village of Tumnup Thom Commune, a Kandal Province nearby GS6 Substation in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It was a fulfilling experience for our CTL team by contributing in the refurbishment process including compacting the soil, concreting and installing the floor and wall tiles, painting the interior and exterior of the building and installing the washing facilities. In rural areas, this refurbished maternity building offers a better condition to serve the community by providing maternal health care and reducing maternal mortality and stillbirth rates.

On 7 July 2022, Regional Polytechnic Institute Tech Sen Takeo’s electrical faculty students visited our CEL site to gain first-hand knowledge of the processes and the operation of coal-fired power plant.  Mr. Chhun Khemerak, Deputy Director, expressed his gratitude to the company for the field trip arrangement with well-organized and quality sharing sessions, which would be useful for the students’ tertiary education and career advancements in the near future.

On 21 June 2022, our company welcomed 55 electrical faculty students from ITC university.  During visit, the students gained some knowledge about coal power plant and hands on experiences guided by our staffs at site which is useful for their technical studies and career advancement. Mr. Seang Bunseng, the professor from ITC, expressed appreciation to CEL management and staffs for time and guidance throughout the session.

On 9 June 2022, 27 staffs from our CEL and CELII teams participated in the Beach Clean Drive at a jetty nearby the CEL power plant premise. The initiative aimed to improves the coastal and ocean ecosystem, while empowering the staffs with more sense of responsibility towards the environment and boosts teamwork and bonding through the activity. A total of approximately 100kg of plastic wastes and other waste materials were collected.

Recognizing the importance of road lighting for villagers’ safety and sense of security, CEL and CELII donated 6 solar streetlights to village 4 in Otres commune of Stueng Hav district, Preah Sihanouk Province. The installation and handover of the solar streetlights was represented by Mr Mazley Mahazir, General Manager of CEL and CELII on 25 May 2022. The Chief of commune, Mr Srun expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the company for the donation to improve the livelihood of the community.

It takes a community to cultivate reading in children. On 12 May 2022, LNTH donated 3 Stainless steel cabinets and 261 storybooks to Phin Ngan Primary School in Lao Cai Province. We hope that the improved learning environment could increase the children’s interest in picking up reading habits from young.

On 9 May 2022, a total of 28 employees from CTL volunteered to donate their blood at Kampong Cham Province Blood Transfusion Centre for Kampong Cham Hospital blood bank.

On 29 April 2022, a total of 23 employees from CEL / CELII have volunteered to donate their blood during the donation drive to Sihanouk Provincial Referral Hospital. This initiative aimed to increase the hospital’s blood bank supply for emergencies to save lives. The blood donation drive was held at the CEL/CELII plant site. With the overwhelming response received from the volunteers, the site management would consider to propose a 3rd blood donation campaign. Dr. Hour Sothy, team chief of Sihanouk Provincial Referral Hospital’s blood donation team, expressed his gratitude to the company for organising the initiative and volunteers who contributed.

On 7 April 2022, Cambodian Transmission Limited (CTL) awarded a student of Techo Hun Sen Boeng Kork High School with a scholarship to pursue 4 years of studies in Electrical Engineering course at the National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia (NPIC). The scholarship covers not only their university tuition fees, but also their accommodation, meals and transportation. Techo Hun Sen Boeng Kork High School is located in Krong Kampong Cham, a rural area within Kampong Cham Province and the Company will continue this annual initiative jointly with the high school to support and provide higher education to students from less privileged families and groom more local talents.

On 5 February 2022, 2 graduates of Steung Hav High School were awarded with the scholarship to pursue 2 years of studies at Don Bosco Technical Training School from Leader (Cambodia) Limited. Apart from tuition fees, the scholarship also included their school uniforms, meals and accommodation. This is the 5^th consecutive year for Leader (Cambodia) Limited to award the scholarship with employment opportunities after graduation. A total of 9 scholarships were awarded till date. The Company will continue this initiative to support and provide education to students from less privileged families and groom more local talents.

With the emphasis in promoting public health, especially amidst Covid-19 pandemic, two handwashing sinks were donated to Kampenh Primary School, in Steung Hav District. Handwashing is one of the most effective ways to prevent several infectious diseases, however the school was lack of handwashing facilities and students could not cultivate good habit of before and after meals. This initiative aims to improve the students and school staffs’ hygiene and safety standards, and instill lifelong healthy habits. The handover of handwashing sinks was represented by Mr Mazley Mahazir, General Manager of CEL and CELII to the School Master and Teachers on 27 January 2022. It was heartwarming to watch the excited students trying out their newly installed facilities on the day of handover.

On 29 November 2021, our team from Leader Nam Tien Hydropower JSC handed over the materials to upgrade the Community House in Phin Ngan Commune, where our Ngoi Xan Complex is situated. The upgrading materials amounting to USD 1,573 comprised of:

• 3m2 of Galvanized Steel Roof
• 5m2 of Heat Resistance Plate
• 7m of Gutter

On 17 December 2021, a total of 25 employees from CEL / CELII have volunteered to donate their blood during the donation drive to Sihanouk Provincial Referral Hospital. This initiative aimed to increase the hospital’s blood bank supply for emergencies to save lives. The blood donation drive was held at the CEL/CELII plant site.  Dr. Hour Sothy, team chief of Sihanouk Provincial Referral Hospital’s blood donation team, expressed his gratitude to the company for organising the initiative and volunteers who contributed. He added that Sihanouk Provincial Referral Hospital requires an average of 28 bags of blood monthly. 

In line with the green initiatives tagged as "CLEAN & GREEN is our PERFECT DREAM" since mid-June 2020, our Cambodian Transmission Limited (CTL) team has organised another tree planting activity on 17 December 2021 to increase the plant population nearby our Grid Kampong Cham (GSKC) substation. This time, the team planted a total of 60 fruit plants including 10 mango trees, 10 longan trees, 5 papaya trees, 15 banana trees, 10 coconut trees and 10 guava trees. Soon, the team will be harvesting the guavas that were planted during mid-June 2020. The harvest will be distributed to the nearby community and CTL employees.

On 12 December 2021, we have donated 3,000 litres water tank and two water dispensers to Steung Hav Health Care Center. This initiative is to benefit the hospital’s patients for easy access to clean water as the hospital has been facing water shortage situation with daily inconsistent water supply.  The handover of water tank and dispensers was represented by the General Manager of CEL and CELII to Mr Trop Penh, Deputy Governor of Steung Hav, who expressed appreciation to the company’s kind contribution to improving the water facilities for hospital’s patients. 

Leader Energy's headquarters in Selangor, Malaysia is currently undertaking the Aquaponics project to support 福爱之家 House Of Love, a local orphanage home as part of the CSR initiatives. We sponsored RM30,000 for the upgrading of their existing Aquaponics with a new system in Oct 2021, instilling green activities and creating a sustainable approach for the Home. The Aquaponics plants mainly peppermint and the harvests are sold to a company that produces peppermint spray for skincare. The public can also purchase peppermint spray directly from the Home. The profit made from the harvest and the sales of the peppermint spray will be used to support the Home’s operation. Meanwhile, our staff are also actively engaged in helping to plant and maintain the Aquaponics on the weekends on a voluntary basis, and the children are also involved in learning to care for the plants and fishes and harvesting the peppermint leaves. On 26 November 2021, our Cambodian Transmission Limited (CTL) team initiated a cleanliness drive nearby Grid Substation No.6 (GS6) with the theme “Please keep your Environment Clean for your Future Generations”. We believe that it is essentially important to maintain a cleaner environment for the current and next generation’s social health.

In view of local Primary Schools’ reopening in Kampong Speu Province and Kampong Cham Province amidst Covid-19 pandemic situation, Cambodian Transmission Limited donated in-kind medical supplies to the authorities of Ksem Ksan Commune and Ampile Commune to support and enhance the preventive measures. The following items were handover onsite on 2nd November 2021:

• 300 litres of Alcohol (10 gallons),
• 200 boxes of Face Masks,
• 200 pieces of Hand Soaps,
• 2 units Hand Sanitizer Dispensers with inbuilt Temperature Scanner each and
• 200 pieces of 250ml Alcohol bottles

In celebration of Pink October 2021, Happy N Green club has partnered up with Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital (MMCH) Penang for an inaugural online Breast Cancer Awareness Talk for the staff members. The speakers Sr Kana, Patient Education Support Coordinator have shared with the attendees on the topic of Breast Cancer Awareness and Marcus Lee, Dietitian talked about the Oncology Nutrition, What Should I Know For Cancer Prevention And Cancer Treatment. The club has also donated RM4,000 to MMCH for the Needy Cancer Patient Fund and  '   ' Charity Food Sale 2021.

On 24 September 2021, Cambodian Energy Limited team donated a total of 7 tons of rice and 60 cartons of dried noodles rice as food aid to support the families affected by current Covid-19 situation in Sihanouk Province. The handover of food donation was held at the Sihanouk Branch. It was represented by our General Manager of CEL and CELII to H.E. Kuoch Chamroeun, governor of Sihanouk Province and Director of Cambodian Red Cross Sihanouk Branch, who expressed appreciation to Cambodian Energy Limited for the continuous efforts in giving back to the society. Cambodian Red Cross Sihanouk Branch will be distributing the food donation to the affected families promptly.

Leader Solar Energy II (LSE II) has extended its charitable arm by donating a total of 20 boxes of Bakul Makanan (food packages) to the local orphanage and food bank in Taman Jaya, Klang, Malaysia. The Bakul Makanan worth RM1,285.75 consists of rice, flour, cooking oil, sauces, noodles, salt, sugar, canned sardines, biscuits and coffee. This is a joint initiative between LSE II and Happy n Green club by HNG Capital headquarters, in collaboration with the founder Dr. Joseph Pang of House Of Love (Pertubuhan Rumah Anak Yatim Berkat Kasih), the orphanage and Care Love Welfare Foundation Malaysia (Yayasan Kebajikan Berkat Kasih Malaysia), the food bank programme. The Bakul Makanan was distributed subsequently by Dr. Joseph to the families which were affected financially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Leader Solar Energy (LSE) has donated 150 food packages amounting to RM15,000 to Masjid Muhibbudin Sungai Pasir, Sungai Petani, Kedah in September 2021. This charity initiative from the company aims to ease some of the burdens of the affected neighbourhood households during this Covid-19 pandemic. Each food package consists of rice, flour, cooking oil, sauces, noodles, Milo, sugar, milk, canned sardines, biscuits, coffee and cordial syrup. LSE team members delivered the food packages and handed them over to the Chairman of the Mosque, Ustaz Haji Ali bin Haji Ahmad.

Leader Nam Tien Hydropower Joint Stock Company donated electronic devices to the Phin Ngan Police on 5 August 2021. The electronic devices included a smart TV, a set of computer, 4 digital cameras and a digital camera recorder. This initiative is to support and improve police's operational efficiency and outcomes in their daily duties for better public safety and security within the Phin Ngan commune in Lao Cai Province.

Cambodian Transmission Limited (CTL) has donated a newly constructed sanitary facility and 2 sets of presentation equipment to Kauk Rovieng Primary & Secondary Schools in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. The schools are both located in a remote area of Kauk Rovieng Commue in Cheung Prey District. To promote better hygiene and safety standards for the students and school staff, the new sanitary facility now comes with 4 well-built toilet cubicles. Meanwhile, the schools also each received a set of presentation equipment consisting of a projector and screen for an improved educational facility. This CSR initiative from CTL seeks to improve the quality of education by meeting their fundamental daily needs and thus, improve the life of the students and school staff as well. The handover of donations was represented by the General Manager of CTL to the schools’ Directors and Chief of Kauk Rovieng Commune on 25 June 2021.

Our parent company, HNG Capital Sdn Bhd has donated 5 units of Oxygen Flowmeter System to the Penang General Hospital in aid of the Covid-19 patients during this challenging time, through our Happy N Green Employee Club. To show support and appreciation to the medical staffs and authorities at Phnom Penh Covid-19 Vaccination Center, where our Cambodian Transmission Limited staffs were vaccinated, and aid in the prevention measures of Covid-19, the following items were sponsored and handover onsite on 31 May 2021:

• 300 litres of Alcohol (10 gallons),
• 100 boxes of Face Masks,
• 10 boxes of Surgical Gloves and
• 50 boxes of Mineral Water

“Together with CRC to fight with Covid 19 and build the resilience of the national society”, is the theme of this year's World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day's 158th Anniversary. To support Red Cross' continuous humanity activities, especially amidst the ongoing pandemic, Leader Energy Group's Cambodian entities (CEL and CTL) donated a total of USD 50,000 (including USD 20,000 to its Pursat Branch) and will provide continuous support annually.

On 29^th April 2021, our team from Leader Nam Tien Hydropower JSC was delighted to support the community by installing a new 350m² heat resistant corrugated roof for Phin Ngan Secondary School in Phin Ngan commune, Bat Xat district, Lao Cai Province. With this improved facility, we hope it helps the students to feel more secured while pursuing their studies, especially during rainy seasons.

There was a surge of Covid-19 cases in the community since 20 February 2021. The local authorities have set up a checkpoint for interprovincial travels along mid-way from Steung Hav district to road #4. The checkpoint station has been running 24/7 since 4 March 2021 to control the spread of the virus. In response to the checkpoint authorities’ dedication and sacrifices, Cambodian Energy Limited II Co. Ltd (CEL II) has taken the initiative to sponsor some necessities as a show of support and appreciation for their efforts. The sponsored items were handed over at the checkpoint on 14 March 2021 and Mr Sun Pisey, Vice District Governor expressed sincere gratitude to CEL II for the supplies. The sponsored items as below:

• 30 litres of sanitizer
• 20 boxes of face masks
• 20 boxes of drinking water
• 5 boxes of soft drinks

On 26 February 2021, Leader Nam Tien Hydropower Joint Stock Company donated 10 warm blankets (2m by 2.2m each) to Phin Ngan Clinic. The blankets are for 8 patient beds and 2 beds for the medics on duty. This initiative aims to improve the quality of resources in Phin Ngan Clinic’s healthcare facilities so that the clinic can provide better care for the locals.

Graduates of Steung Hav High School, Pich Bou Srou and Sovann Hin were awarded with the scholarship to pursue 2 years of studies at Don Bosco Technical Training School from Leader (Cambodia) Limited. The scholarship covers not only their tuition fees, but also their school uniforms, meals and accommodation. Leader (Cambodia) Limited has awarded the scholarship to 7 recipients to date in 4 consecutive years with employment opportunities after graduation. The Company will continue this initiative to support and provide education to students from less privileged families and groom more local talents.

During every dry season, villagers of  Kampenh Commune and Otres Commune in Steung Hav District had to collect clean water from a distanced stream for their daily water requirement. Hence, 2 manual well pumps were installed and donated to the community on 23 December 2020. This initiative aims to improve their living condition with easier access to clean water while minimizing the exposure to harmful bacteria from contaminated open water source. The handover of manual well pumps was represented by Mr Mazley Mahazir, General Manager of CEL and CELII to  Mr. Suon Pisy, Vice Steung Hav District Governor of Sihanouk Province, who expressed appreciation to the company's continuous support and contributions to the community. The villagers were also very delighted and grateful to receive the donated water facilities.

Leader Nam Tien Hydropower Joint Stock Company donated a laptop to the Phin Ngan Police on 10 November 2020. This initiative is to support the continuous improvement of the police duties for better security within the Phin Ngan commune in Lao Cai Province.

Responding to the recent devastating flood that hit Sihanouk Province, our Group CEO, Dato' Sean H'ng Chun Hsiang and his family donated 20 tons of rice as relief donations to support the flood victims. The handover of relief donations was held at the Sihanouk Branch. It was represented by our COO, Country Manager and General Manager of CEL and CELII to H.E. Kuoch Chamroeun, governor of Sihanouk Province and Director of Cambodian Red Cross Sihanouk Branch, who expressed appreciation to the H'ng family and Leader Group for the meaningful gesture in times of need. Cambodian Red Cross Sihanouk Branch will help to distribute the relief donations to the flood victims promptly.

Cambodian Energy Limited has donated USD2,000 to Cambodian Red Cross Sihanouk in conjunction with the Red Cross anniversary 2020. Themed as “I Love Peace and Cambodian Red Cross”, the donation aimed to support the needy and vulnerable population of Sihanouk Province that are affected by natural disasters and living in poor conditions.

With the objective to promote environmental sustainability and improve the air quality for the community nearby GSKC, an environmental pro-active event themed "CLEAN & GREEN is our PERFECT DREAM" was initiated by our Cambodian Transmission Limited team on 19 June 2020. The tree planting event was held nearby GSKC substation with a total of 60 fruit trees planted which included 15 mango trees, 15 jackfruit trees, 10 longan trees, 10 guava trees and 10 coconut trees.  Our Cambodian Transmission Limited team also enjoyed themselves during the tree planting activity while giving back to the society. We look forward to harvesting season, as the harvested fruits would be distributed to the community residing nearby GSKC and our CTL staffs and hoping they would enjoy and benefit from the fruits' nutrients in near future.

Since 2017, due to occurrence of landslides, a total of approximately 9,000 square meters land area, which belongs to four (4) households that situated nearby LNTH’s Ngoi Xan-II desander, could no longer carry out planting and farming activities like before.  Hence, our Leader Nam Tien Hydropower Joint Stock Company team decided to provide an one-off financial support to aid these four (4) households in Trung Chai village of Phin Ngan commune that are affected especially since the sliding area is still developing continuously. The ceremony was presented and witnessed by a representative from Phin Ngan People’s Committee on 17 June 2020.

With the importance in creating more awareness in prevention of COVID-19 among the villagers, our General Manager of Cambodian Transmission Limited and his team came together to prepare 300 care packages and distributed the care package supplies to 150 families at Sdock Lapov Village nearby GS6 substation and 150 families at Andong Chros village nearby GSKC substation on 4th and 8th May 2020. Each care package consists of of 10 pieces of surgical face masks, 1 litre of alcohol sanitizer and 2 packets of soaps with 4 pieces each.

This year to celebrate the 157th Anniversary of the World Red Cross Red Crescent Day on 8 May 2020, Cambodian Energy Limited and  Cambodian Transmission Limited donated a total of USD 30,000 to the Cambodian Red Cross to support their humanitarian works to help the needy and vulnerable population that are affected by natural disasters and are living in bad condition, especially amidst the current pandemic situation.

On 29 November 2019, Cambodian Energy Limited team distributed a total of 504 road safety helmets and 5 cabinets to 2 primary schools' students within the neighborhood in Steung Hav district. Cambodian Energy Limited's key objective aims to create awareness on importance of road safety and encourage road safety habits through the school children. In 2018, Cambodian Energy Limited donated 20 computers to Steung Hav High School and annual sponsorship for 2 scholarship students with 2 years of technical training at Don Bosco Technical School, since 2017. We are  proud to hear the announcement from Deputy Steung Hav District Governor that Cambodian Energy Limited is the leading company on CSR activities among other companies in Steung Hav District and he hopes that other companies will also carry out CSR activities like Cambodian Energy Limited.

Willing Hearts, a secular and non-affiliated charity which also operates a soup kitchen that prepares, cooks and distributes daily meals to the needy (elderly, disabled, low income families, children from single parent families or otherwise poverty stricken families and migrant workers) in Singapore. On 22 November 2019, our team from Leader Energy Pte Ltd volunteered at Willing Hearts, to help the kitchen prepare food ingredients for the next day's meals which would be distributed to about 5,000 needy over 40 locations island wide. The team also donated in-kind provision items to the kitchen to help stock up their dry goods for cooking. We look forward to contribute our time and effort to help the community in need through Willing Hearts again.

As part of the Corporate Social Responsibility and towards promoting sustainable development within Cambodia, in collaboration with the Kampong Cham District Hall, Cambodian Transmission Limited is delighted to donate 15 computers (with computer accessories and necessary software installed), projector and screen to TECHO HUN SEN Boeng Kok High School located in Krong Kampong Cham, Kampong Cham Province.

On 15 November 2019, Mr Gan Boon Hean, Director of Cambodian Transmission Limited handover the IT equipment to TECHO HUN SEN Boeng Kok High School and the students showed enthusiasm when exploring their new computer systems. CNC (Cambodia's first 24h/7 national news channel) also featured the CSR activity live broadcasting from Phnom Penh.

Moving forward, in order to benefit future enrolled students as well, our team from Cambodian Transmission Limited will also conduct periodic visits to the high school to ensure that the donated IT equipment are in good condition and well-managed by the School.

In order to improve the food preparation facility for the young generations living within Phin Ngan Commune of Bat Xat district, our Leader Nam Tien Hydropower Joint Stock Company team decided to help Phin Ngan Nursery in upgrading their kitchen which was made of old wood. The completed improved kitchen was handover on 9 November 2019.

With devotion to promote sustainable development within the Cambodian education system, since October 2017, our subsidiary Leader (Cambodia) Limited had awarded sponsorship to 5 graduates from Steung Hav High School for them to undergo 2 years of Technical Training at Don Bosco Technical Training School. Particularly, the 2 sponsorship recipients who successfully completed the Technical Training program in 2019, joined our Cambodian Energy II Co., Ltd (CEL II) team after their 2 months internship period. Moving forward, we look forward to groom more local talents.

On 25 September 2019, our team of Leader Nam Tien Hydropower Joint Stock Company handover the improved laundry facility area to Phin Ngan Secondary School located in Phin Ngan Commune of Bat Xat district in Lao Cai province, Vietnam.

On 29 August 2019, our team from Leader Nam Tien Hydropower Joint Stock Company were delighted to handover the completed upgraded section between Phin Ngan and Quang Kimour roads. The road was widened by filling the initial drainage with concrete and gabion, which improves community's safety with easier access.

With the importance to value education and the quality of life of the next generation, schools are one of the important institutions in a community, hence it is important to keep the students, teachers and staffs safe. Leader Nam Tien Hydropower Joint Stock Company recognized the importance and hence determined to focus on improving the school's environment and safety aspects by constructing the security fence, which commenced on 1st May 2019. On 19 June 2019, our team from Leader Nam Tien Hydropower Joint Stock Company witnessed the completion and officially handover the well secured fencing to Phin Ngan Primary School located in Phin Ngan Commune of Bat Xat district in Lao Cai province, Vietnam. By protecting the students, we hope to increase the pride within them and allow the parents and community to feel confident and assured that the school is a safe place for learning.

In May 2019, our Deputy Chief Operating Officer represented Cambodian Energy Limited to handover the fund donation (USD 1,200) to the local authority of Steung Hav for their office renovation.

A total of USD 40,000 was donated to the Cambodian Red Cross this year, the largest humanitarian organisation in Cambodia. Leader Energy Group's Cambodian entities have been making annual contributions to Cambodian Red Cross for the past years; and will continue to do so. Below are images taken at one of Cambodian Red Cross' annual fund raising event held in Preah Sihanoukville province.

In order to further empower the students of Hun Sen Bat Deoung High School with more knowledge in technology, Cambodia Transmission Limited team sponsored 15 desktops and coordinated with Hun Sen Bat Deoung High School in refurbishing one of the existing classrooms and transform it into a computer lab for the students. Our team is honored to be involved in the open ceremony of the newly set up computer lab with the authorities on 15 November 2018. We are elated to witness the excitement in the students and the positive impacts of this initiative.

On 12 November 2018, with the cold season coming, Leader Nam Tien Hydropower Joint Stock Company also donated blankets to the kindergarten, Phin Ngan primary school and Phin Ngan middle school in Phin Ngan commune of Bat Xat district, to ensure that the children are all properly kept warm throughout the season during their nap hours. Each school received 40 pieces of blankets, each measure at 1.6m in length and 1.8m in width. By improving the living standard at the schools, we believe that it could help in creating a more positive environment for the next generations' well-being and may also increase their interest in education.

In September 2018, Leader Solar Energy team initiated to upgrade the village road that is located beside the solar panels site. To further improve the living environment of the village, some patching and smoothing of the ground surface surrounding a local prayer house and kindergarten was also carried out.

On 5 September 2018, Leader Nam Tien Hydropower Joint Stock Company contributed gifts-in-kind to three schools in Phin Ngan Commune of Bat Xat district in Lao Cai province. Donation was carried out during the beginning of a new school term for the academic year 2018-19 with the intention to improve the students' daily basic needs;

1. 239 students from kindergarten each received a stainless-steel cup, a face tower and a pair of sandals;
2. One electric cabinet to warm bowls and plates for the Phin Ngan primary school students and
3. 174 students in the Phin Ngan middle school received an Inox lunch box each.

On 20 July 2018, Leader Energy donated SGD 6,500 to provide funding to Children's Aid Society for the upkeeping of Melrose Home, which home children who require residential care and protection, and aid in their recreational activities and programs.

On 27 June 2018, Cambodian Energy Limited team were delighted to handover the computers that have been set up in the newly refurbished classroom to the officials of Steung Hav High School in Preah Sihanouk Province, Cambodia. 505 high school students will be able to benefit with the installed computers and the school could conduct more advance curriculum with the conducive teaching environment.

Cambodia Energy Limited and Cambodia Transmission Limited have been contributing USD 50,000 each to the Cambodian Red Cross, the largest humanitarian organisation in Cambodia, annually for the past years; and will continue to do so.

As a way of giving back to the society and community, our team from Leader Solar Energy volunteered at Kechara Soup Kitchen Penang @ 6 on 24 April 2018 to help with the food distribution. They assisted on packing and distributing the vegetarian meals and goodies bags to the needy.
